Teddy Bear Picnic

Grace and I went to Playgroups Teddy Bear Picnic. We had such a wonderful time. The kids ate Teddy Grahams while Katrina read the story of the Teddy Bear Picnic. We had a picnic lunch on blankets and had fun visiting with everyone. All the kids played in the gym. Grace especially loved playing in the tunnel with Julie. She had lots of fun. What a great activity!Grace and Julie

P.F. Changs

We had an amazing anniversary weekend in Salt Lake City. It was so much fun to be together! We ate at P.F Changs. Oh my.....it is delicious! Chicken Lettuce wraps are our favorite. We stayed at the Radisson Hotel in a jacuzzi suite. I'm relaxing just thinking about that tub. We toured temple square. It was breathtaking! It was the longest we had been away from Grace, but we had such a romantic and special time.

We are back!

We had a lovely time with our families in Washington the past month. The day that we left Rexburg we got stuck in white out on the way to the airport in Boise. That was very scary. The storm followed us. One hour before our flight left the snow came down in Boise. We were very lucky to make it out that day. Many flights got cancelled. We made it to Washington and it was beautiful as usual. That night that same storm must have followed, and it just dumped and dumped down upon us. We hadn't seen snow like that in WA in over 10 years. We had a White Christmas too! We did get lots of beautiful pictures in the snow. On Dec. 20th 2008 Samantha and Matt were married for time and all eternity in the Seattle Temple. It was so beautiful to see my youngest sibling get married to the man of her dreams. We have known Matt since he was 6 yrs old. He is a great ! He fit perfectly into the family. So we stayed very busy on this trip and had lots of fun playing with parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are very excited to be back home and get back into the swing of things. We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas Break and that many great and marvelous blessings will pour upon your families this new year. Lots of love from our family to your........

Olympics Day!

Friday September 26th 2008, Grace participated in the University Village Ward Olympics. It started out pretty rough as she cried the first 30 to 45 min. She did not want to participate. Then she decided to have a fun time. It helped a lot when her friend Gracie showed up. She rolled the big ball, ran in some races, carried an egg on a spoon and kicked a soccer ball. She had a great time. At the end, all of the kids got the cutest medals. What a lovely activity! Everyone did a great job and the kids were darling.

Lots of News!

Life has been nothing but crazy this past month! Crazy is an understatement! We went to Washington when my dad had a heart attack. Good news.....He is doing great and is good as new! On July 31st while recovering from his surgery, he walked out the garage to get his newspaper, and was attacked by two pitbulls! What a nightmare it was! He had surgery and is now recovering again. When we thought all of the craziness was over we had one more big surprise! Saturday August 9th 2008, I started to not feel well. Things deterioriated quickly and I became white as a ghost, no strength, dizzy, and sleeping constantly. I collapsed on my way to the doctor, ambulance came and was in the hospital by Thursday August 14th 2008. I was shocked to find out that I have Hemo-lytic-anemia! My body had been blowing up and destroying my blood cells. I had only 1/3 of my blood left in my body. A normal woman has a blood count between 38 and 40. My # was at 14! The doctors said that I was so blessed to still be here! My body was fighting hard to keep going. I was hospitalized for the next 5 days and had 4 blood transfusions, tests, bone marrow biopsy, etc, etc, etc! So now my numbers are going up and up, little bit by little bit! This might just go away and I could be fine or I might have to deal with it on and off for the rest of my life. Time will tell, but I feel positive about the out come. I have been so blessed in the process with many miracles. The Lord has been truly mindful of our family! I am so thankful for all the prayers and fasting! We are excited to be back in Rexburg and start this new fall semester!
